Sara is a staff reporter at CNN Business where she covers the intersection of technology and culture.
She is an award-winning journalist who writes about tech's "unicorn" companies and their societal impact. She's done deep dives on topics ranging from sexual assault and abuse by ride-hailing drivers to the rise of deepfakes. She's also reported on online culture issues including harassment and revenge porn, diversity/inclusion as it pertains to the tech industry, as well as H-1B visas.
She went to University of Virginia, and got her M.S. at Columbia University's School of Journalism. Her work has been published by outlets including CNN, New York Post, and The Atlantic. She's moderated panels and hosted fireside chats at conferences ranging from the SXSW festival in Austin to Collision in Toronto.
She’s based in Manhattan.
